Partnership brings great success
The English Family Foundation (EFF) have again joined forces with the former Griffith Yunus Centre to great success. Partnering with Impact Boom, the Queensland Social Enterprise Council and White Box Enterprises, the team developed a successful bid to bring the Social Enterprise World Forum to Brisbane in 2022.
The goal is to make social enterprise “business as usual”
The former Griffith Yunus Centre drew on its convening power and experience from previous forums to support design activities and events in the lead-up to the bid, while EFF provided much-needed funds and facilitated the involvement of other foundations and influential networks to bolster the bid.
Previously, the former Griffith Yunus Centre and EFF embarked on their most ambitious project: working with the social enterprise sector to establish a Social Enterprise National Strategy (SENS).
SENS is a project to create a long-term national strategy for social enterprise in Australia that will unlock positive social, cultural and environmental impact. It’s a collective innovation and impact project of the social enterprise sector. The goal is to make social enterprise “business as usual”.
The World Forum marked the launch of Social Enterprise Australia (SEA). SEA is the peak body for social enterprise in Australia, connecting the sector to plan, act and learn together by having a shared national strategy and voice, and to develop new ways to build social and environmental wellbeing.
More than $100 million of philanthropy has already been secured to create a brighter future for all.
