Commander, Investigations and Operational Learning, Australian Federal Police

Commander Victoria Pescott has over 25 years’ policing experience beginning her career with the Australian Federal Police in 1998. Commander Pescott has diverse experience in organised crime, Intelligence, Money Laundering, and Fraud having worked in a broad range of areas including Economic and Special Operations, Criminal Assets, Fraud and Anti-Corruption, Covert Analysis and Assurance, and Investigations and Operational Learning. Commander Pescott also has offshore experience including a deployment to Cyprus and the Solomon Islands. She also has experience in leading internal AFP and government inquiries.

In 2021, Commander Pescott took up her current role as Commander Investigations and Operational Learning. In this role, Commander Pescott leads the enhancement of the AFP’s investigative capability in line with Commissioner Kershaw’s objectives. During this time, Commander Pescott has also led the investigator designed Investigations Management Solution (IMS), providing a single software platform for operational members to manager investigations throughout their lifecycle.

She is an advocate for women’s leadership, actively engaging in providing mentorship through the Women In Law Enforcement Strategy program.

Commander Pescott has a number of professional internal and tertiary qualifications and has a focus on a lifelong learning mind-set to ensure she is best positioned to meet the expectations of the AFP and the community it serves.
