The Academic Calendar states the standard academic dates and deadlines throughout your studies. Variations to the standard Academic Calendar are determined by your study area and learning mode.
For quick reference, the below information refers to key dates specific to enrolment, timetabling and fee-related tasks.
Helpful reminders
The census date is the payment due date for your course fees. It is also the last date you can drop a course so you are not liable for the fees.
The standard census date for Trimester 1, 2 and 3 is the end of teaching Week 4. However, if you are studying a course in intensive mode, via Open Universities Australia or if you are studying certain programs, your course may have a different census date and therefore a different payment due date. Enrolment for Trimester 3 2024 is open for all students.
Trimester 3 is a great opportunity to take additional course(s) to fast track your study and graduate early. Please check your course list and degree requirements for courses you can study in Trimester 3.
Log in to myGriffith and click the red Manage Enrolment button to enrol in Trimester 3 courses, or visit managing your enrolment for more information.
If you are an international student studying with us on a student visa, please be aware that any course enrolment in Trimester 3 means you will not be able to work more than 40 hours per fortnight, as per your student visa requirements.

When can I enrol?
Please visit your myGriffith homepage where your date and time to enrol for Trimester 1 2025 will be displayed.
It’s all in the preparation.
The Planning period gives you time to plan and save your enrolment and timetable before enrolment opens. However, when enrolment opens you will still need to log in and submit your enrolment.
Planning for Trimester 1 2025 commences on Monday 18 November 2024.
Please note - adding a course to your planned timetable will not guarantee you a place in the course, nor will you gain an advantage by adding a course/s to your planned timetable as soon as the Planning period commences. Your enrolment will be determined at the time you submit your enrolment.
Enrolment will open from Monday 25 November 2024.
