Background

A specialist in Governance, Risk and Controls, Rowena has an MBA, is a Certified Practicing Accountant and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, with over 30 years’ experience working across Australia and internationally.  Based in Brisbane, Rowena is KPMG’s National Partner in Charge of its Governance, Risk and Controls Advisory business, which incorporates its internal audit practice.  In this role, Rowena leads a team of over 320 Partners and staff, delivering governance advisory services.

Rowena has a deep personal interest in the education sector, having worked closely with a number of tertiary sector providers over many years.  She is passionate about the role education plays in not only developing our economy, but also improving societal outcomes more broadly.
