Jemma Trelour, a dedicated double-degree undergraduate student, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice alongside a Bachelor of Government and International Relations, with a major in Security, Conflict, and Human Rights. Her profound commitment to embodying Griffith's values is distinctly observable in both her academic pursuits and extracurricular activities.
Beyond her coursework, Jemma is deeply immersed in global affairs, having participated in sustainability and cultural intelligence programs held in Hong Kong, Germany, and at the United Nations in New York, which have been instrumental in cultivating resilient partnerships domestically. Demonstrating strong leadership, she also engages in the Griffith Business School Leadership Program and serves as an Ambassador to the Department of Foreign Affairs' Scholarship New Colombo Plan by promoting Australia's relationships in the Indo-Pacific. Furthermore, Jemma also contributes as a member to both the Australian Institute of International Affairs and the United Nations Association of Australia and embraces this role in tandem with the AIIA's partnership with the Griffith Asia Institute.
As an overarching goal, Jemma seeks to passionately advocate for critical international issues. She is dedicated to uplifting and promoting the values of institutions addressing these challenges sustainably and amplifying the voices within, with a primary focus on the undergraduate cohort in the Griffith University community.
