Board of Graduate Research
The Board of Graduate Research is the senior body within the University which makes recommendations to Academic Committee and advises the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research), through the Dean, Griffith Graduate Research School, on strategic planning, policy, and quality assurance matters concerning higher degree by research (HDR) programs and candidature, research training and higher doctorate arrangements. The Board contributes significantly to the development and review of Griffith University policies, systems and procedures, on matters relating to HDR management, including: quality of supervision, admissions, scholarships, credit, candidature and examination. The Board also provides recommendations to Programs Committee and the Program Strategy Board relating to the structure and requirements of the University’s HDR programs and HDR program pathways.
The role and function of the Board of Graduate Research is set out in the Board of Graduate Research Constitution (version effective 1 January 2025) or Board of Graduate Research Constitution (version effective until 31 December 2024).
