Explore your creativity at the Queensland College of Art and Design (QCAD)

Our thriving community of artists, designers and photographers are constantly pushing the boundaries of the visual and creative arts.

Study at our South Bank campus in the heart of Brisbane’s cultural precinct, or at our exciting Gold Coast campus. Collaborate with Griffith Film School students studying film and screen media, animation and games design.

Access our world-class facilities, including art galleries, exhibition spaces, studios and computer labs, and learn from some of the world’s leading creatives.

Portfolio admission

From 2024, admission to study at Queensland College of Art and Design is available via portfolio submission or ATAR/Rank.

Visual Arts and Design portfolio workshops

These workshops are tailored to those in Year 10 and above and will be held 26 & 27 June 2023 at the South Bank campus (Visual Arts and Design), or 29 & 30 June 2023 at the Gold Coast campus (Design only).

Participants choose to work in either Design or Visual Arts and over two days will: complete at least one piece of work for your creative portfolio; understand how to photograph and present your work for maximum impact, and learn how to write about your own practice and creativity.
