Study industrial design at Griffith
Essential hands-on experience
You'll learn through project-based design studios and technical learning studios, as the degree takes a hands-on approach to teaching that uses advanced technologies such as 3D printing.
Develop interdisciplinary skills
This degree sits within both the Queensland College of Art and Design and the Griffith School of Engineering, which is testament to the practical and interdisciplinary nature of your study. You’ll be taught electronics, mechanics, thermofluids and more by engineering specialists, while also being taught design skills, digital modelling and 3D printing by design professionals. The result is a well-rounded degree that sets you up to start your career equipped with the skills and knowledge you need.

Product Designer, Next Level Racing
Gin Kunaka works for one of the world’s leading racing simulation companies, Next Level Racing, as a core Product Designer after completing an internship with the company as part of his studies. “In my final year I had the privilege of undertaking an internship at Next Level Racing. The experience helped me explore different elements involved in the design process on a commercial scale.” In his current role Gin is involved with market research, custom product ideation, design development, and the execution of the life cycle of a product all the way to commercial production.
