In addition to the 4 scholarships, this year we decided to award an additional bursary of $5,000 to recognise the work of one applicant. Even though this applicant's work does not fall under professional development, we felt his work to be so outstanding for the community at large that it deserved recognition. Jeff has worked as a primary, secondary and support services professional in education. This work has seen him resolve to develop and implement an early intervention program to assist 'at risk' youth and help them fully realise their potential through the Asteros program. |
