Apply for airport reception
International students commencing at Griffith University can apply for airport reception, which takes you from the airport directly to your Australian accommodation.
Airport reception is free for:
- International students - commencing a new Griffith University degree
- Study Abroad or Exchange students who are arriving for the first time to begin their first trimester of study.
- GELI students - commencing the Direct Entry Program or other ELICOS program
Airport reception is not free but available for:
- Family, guardians or non-student friends travelling with you - please include information for any additional passengers on your airport reception application
- Domestic students

Under 18 International Students
All underage students must use Griffith University’s airport reception services for arriving and departing flights. An additional $100 applies to underage student departure flights. Students will be accompanied by a Griffith University representative to the check-in area and customs departure gate.

If you are booking an airport reception, please:
- provide airport reception details 72 hours prior to departure from your home country
- advise of others travelling with you requiring airport reception
- advise if you will be bringing oversized luggage, such as a bicycle or surfboard, as additional fees apply
- understand no-shows at the airport will be charged
- advise of any flight cancellations, changes or rescheduling as soon as possible
- understand that an additional fee will apply if you don’t advise us of flight changes prior to your scheduled arrival
- understand you are unable to check in to Nathan On Campus Colleges between midnight and 6 am.
